Registration

Montréal Rueda de Casino is the organizer of the local Montréal event for the International Rueda De Casino Multi Flash Mob Day 2015 as part of our goal as a group to promote La Rueda de Casino, la salsa and the cuban culture.

Therefore, Montréal Rueda de Casino operates as the agent association for the groups/schools participating in the International Rueda De Casino Multi Flash Mob Day 2015.

The term 'you' refers to the users or viewers of our Website.

The term ‘participant’ refers to dancers, schools, groups, volunteers whose will be part of the International Rueda De Casino Multi Flash Mob Day event or anyone who buy a ticket for the after flash mob  Cuban salsa social soirée.

The term ‘Collaborators’ refers to photographs,  cameramen and DJ’s whose participating as volunteers in this event.

You can participate to one or both events but please note that these Terms and Conditions apply to both events.

This terms and conditions enable you to register for the Montréal edition of the International Rueda De Casino Multi Flash Mob Day, as listed on our website, social media and blog. Please read it carefully before register. You should understand that by registering to this part of the event using this form, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. Anyone wishing to participate in the International Rueda De Casino Multi Flash Mob Day must fill a dancers registration form. Groups and volunteers are also required to register using the appropriate form.

Understand that if you refuse these terms and conditions, you will not be able to participate in the International Rueda De Casino Multi Flash Mob Day 2015. Last minute participants who could not be registered online will also be subjected to the same terms and conditions as listed in this document.

If you attend the party without participating in the Flash Mob itself, you are bound with the same terms and conditions except for the registration form part.

Registration date

Closing date for FlashMob registration: 15 days prior to the event.

Closing date for advance ticket sale of Social Event: 5pm, 1 day prior to the event.

Admission fees

This is a not-for-profit event. The FlashMob itself is free of charge for the participants. However, it is not without costs, therefore the “after party” has an admission fee of $10 in advance and $15 at the door. The proceeds will go fully towards covering the costs of the current event.

As a non-profit event, any surplus in money or goods will be put towards our next cultural event.

Clothing, footwear and accessories

Participants to the International Rueda De Casino Multi Flash Mob Day 2015 must agree to wear clothing appropriate to the weather. Additionally, for the first song which will have everybody dancing in one big rueda participants must agree to wear clothing exempt of any dance school, dance company, dance team or any other dance organization logo.

As per the concept of a flashmob, surrounding people must not guess what is about to happen. In order to preserve the element of surprise, no secondary “dance” flooring or other such preparation can be done prior to the first rueda. Branded group/schools clothing can be worn for the ensuing ruedas but very little time will be allotted between the ruedas to change so be prepared to do so quickly if needed.

There will be no designated space for storing bags or coats, therefore we recommend that participants come to the site without bags and be able to dance with the clothing that they are wearing.

Confirmation of Booking

After making a booking you will receive an e-mail from us acknowledging that we have received your booking request. Please note that this does not mean that your booking has been accepted. Your booking request constitutes an offer to us to secure a place at one of our events. All bookings are subject to availability of the event and formal acceptance by us, and we will confirm such acceptance to you by sending you a confirmation email stating that the booking has been confirmed (the ‘Booking Confirmation’).

Joining Instructions

You will receive joining instructions confirming timings and venues once your booking has been processed. Please make sure to check your email inbox as well as your spam and junk mail, just in case the joining instructions have been sent to these inboxes by your email client. If you have not received these instructions one week prior to the event, please contact us.

Event Content

We reserve the right to make changes to the published program of an event (but not the overall content), for example to timings and/or DJ’s if one of the advertised DJ’s/Band is unable to attend. In such cases, you will not be entitled to a refund if you cancel your attendance.

Event Venue

The exact location of our events  will be disclosed approximately 1 month prior to the event date. You acknowledge that we may have to change the published venues for the events for reasons beyond our control and in such cases you will not be entitled to a refund.

You are liable for any loss or damage which you may cause to our premises or that of the external venue and agree to adhere to all housekeeping rules, procedures and policies (including policies as to behaviour and conduct) that may be in place at any venue from time to time.

If you have a disability or medical condition that requires special arrangements to be made, please notify us of your requirements when making your booking.

Please note that you are solely responsible for any and all food and beverage that you will ingest before, during and after the events. Thus, you must manage your own restrictions, allergies or intolerances and in no way will the organisers, suppliers or vendors associated to the event be held responsible.

Our Cancellation Policy

The International Rueda De Casino Multi Flash Mob Day will happen even if it snows. However, in a case of freezing rain, Montréal Rueda de Casino  will announce the postponement or cancellation of the event on the website blog as well as the Facebook event page.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we will use the information which you provide to us.

Publicity

We may use photographs and videos taken at the events in publicity and marketing materials, including use on our Website, YouTube, any other social media and on paper as well. Your attendance at the event may mean that you are featured in such photographs and videos and you are deemed not to object to the taking of such images as detailed above.

Rights in Materials

All copyright and other rights (including all intellectual property rights) in materials provided to you during or for the purposes of any of our events (including, without limitation, videos & photos) are the property of Montréal Rueda de Casino or/and of our collaborators. You are entitled to use such materials only for your own personal use. You are not entitled to copy such materials (except as permitted by law) nor are you entitled to use or authorise others to use such materials for any commercial purposes.

Our Liability

Event attendees shall be fully responsible for keeping their personal belongings with them at all times and we accept no liability for damage to, or loss of, personal belongings. We do not accept any responsibility for any loss (including, without limitation, theft) of any property incurred in any of our event venues.

We will not be responsible for your or any third party for any business loss (including loss of revenue, profits, contracts, anticipated savings, wasted expenditure, data or goodwill) or any other loss or damage.

By accepting these terms and conditions, the participant also agrees to not hold Montreal Rueda de Casino and the events venues responsible for any injury incurred while attending the events. Although Montreal Rueda de Casino will endeavor to make the event sites as safe as possible, participants are fully responsible for ensuring their own safety. This includes, without being limited to, weather conditions, ground or flooring conditions, other participants or any other type of imponderable that might cause injury. Also, participants are responsible for wearing clothing and footwear appropriate to the weather conditions occurring at the time of the events and not engaging in any action that might result in injury.

Events Outside Our Control

We will not be liable or responsible for any failure to perform, or delay in performance that is caused by events outside our reasonable control ("Force Majeure Event").  A Force Majeure Event includes any act, event, non-happening, omission or accident beyond our reasonable control and includes in particular (without limitation) the following:

•   Strikes, lock-outs or other industrial action;
•   Civil commotion, riot, invasion, terrorist attack or threat of terrorist attack, war (whether declared or not) or threat or preparation for war;
•   Fire, power outage, explosion, storm, damaged equipment or buildings, flood, earthquake, land slide, epidemic or other natural disaster;
•   Impossibility of the use of railways, shipping, aircraft, motor transport or other means of public or private transport;
•   Impossibility of the use of public or private telecommunications networks; and
•   The acts, decrees, legislation, regulations or restrictions of any government.

Our performance will be suspended for the period that the Force Majeure Event continues. We will use our reasonable endeavours to bring the Force Majeure Event to a close or to find a solution despite the Force Majeure Event.

Written Communications

Applicable laws require that some of the information or communications we send to you should be in writing. When using our website you accept that communication between participants and organizers will be mainly electronic and grant the same legal value to said communication as a written communication. We will contact you by e-mail or social media and will provide you with information via our website.

Our Right to Vary these Terms and Conditions

We have the right to revise and amend these terms and conditions at any moment  to reflect changes in technology, changes in payment methods, changes in relevant laws and regulatory requirements and changes in our system's capabilities.

You will be subject to the policies and terms and conditions in force at the time that you place a booking with us. However, certain modifications or changes can be applied before we transmit your final registration confirmation. (in which case it will apply to bookings previously made by you and we have the right to assume that you have accepted the change to the terms and conditions, unless you notify us to the contrary within seven working days of receipt by you of the Booking Confirmation).

Law and Jurisdiction

Registrations and booking to our events will be governed by the by-laws of the City of Montreal and the laws of the Province of Québec. Any dispute shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Québec located in Montreal.
